1. Data Measurement Scope
- LinkedIn Native Analytics
LinkedIn provides aggregated statistics for all engagements, impressions, and interactions that occurred during the selected time period — regardless of when the posts were published.
➤ This means it shows all activity received within the timeframe, not just from posts published during that period.

- Notified
Notified reports only on the specific posts that were published during the selected time range.
➤ This allows for post-level insights and a clearer picture of how each published post performed within its lifecycle.
2. Engagement Data Differences
- LinkedIn Engagement Includes: - Reactions
- Comments
- Shares
- Clicks within posts
- Follows directly from the post

- Notified Engagement Includes: - Reactions
- Comments
- Shares

⚠️ Due to LinkedIn’s API limitations, Notified (like other third-party tools such as Meltwater and Hootsuite) cannot access click data or follower activity directly tied to individual posts. This means the total engagement number in Notified may appear slightly lower compared to LinkedIn.
3. Engagement Rate Calculation
- LinkedIn's Formula:
 Engagement Rate = (Engagements ÷ Impressions) × 100
- Notified's Formula:
Engagement Rate = (Engagements ÷ Number of Followers) × 100
Notified uses follower count as the denominator to standardize engagement rate across all social platforms, ensuring consistent comparisons between LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
4. Recommended Approach
Both tools offer unique benefits. Here’s how you can get the most accurate insights:
- Use LinkedIn’s native analytics for a high-level overview of overall performance in a given time range.
- Use Notified to analyze the impact of individual posts and campaigns that were published during that time.
- Compare both to uncover trends like posts that may have gone viral after publication or performed unusually well over time.
5. Additional Notes:
- Organic and Promoted Posts
Notified includes statistics from both organic and promoted posts, provided they originate from your page. Impressions from paid promotion are included as well.
- Duplicate Posts and Republishing
If you republish a post on LinkedIn, it will be treated as a new post in Notified. Previous versions won’t be deleted automatically, so you can manually remove duplicates if needed.
